One way of doing this is to install an SCR system on the vehicle. SCR is Selective Catalytic Reduction and is a means of converting nitrogen oxides back to nitrogen and water.
This system uses a urea solution and a catalyst. The truck is fitted with an extra tank for the urea.
The urea solution called AdBlueâ„¢ can be tricky to transfer because it must not get contaminated with foreign substances that can spoil the catalytic process and render the whole system useless. Also it is a highly concentrated solution and crystals of urea can build up in the pumping system, damage the pump fittings and so contaminate the solution.
So, special pumps need to be used to make sure that the liquid is not contaminated.
One of the most popular systems we sell is the Suzzara Blue system from Piusi shown above.
This pump is made of materials that will not be affected by the corrosive urea solution and its operation will not be affected by the buildup of crystalline urea.
We also supply many other types of pump to transfer Adblue such as Air Operated Double Diaphragm pumps and peristaltic pumps. It all depends upon your own application so call us and we’ll engineer your solution free of charge, without obligation.
We regularly sell pumps at up to 50% off list price.
All of our pumps are genuine manufacturer products, available from stock for all popular brands.
We also sell spares for all models at very competitive prices. We are often asked for the source of our spares. We only buy manufacturer spares from impeccable sources and offer them at enviable prices. We export to our local European offices for redistribution so delivery is never a problem.
